Japan Blues Meets The Dengie Hundred
Japan Blues (Ethbo, NTS) Meets The Dengie Hundred (one half of Blackwater) will perform live with a set which entranced audiences at Meakusma Festival this September. Having worked together since crossing paths on Discogs, and with the two albums released on Ethbo, the time felt right for a collaborative project, with Williams’ recordings, found sounds and atmospherics meeting The Dengie Hundred’s hazy, reverb rich sensibility.
Revisioning Japanese soundscapes and folk music through an abstract dub lens, their heartfelt set will be rhythmic and echo-drenched. The set serves as a preview of their collaborative album which will appear in 2023.

LDGU
Ldgu is a multi-instrumentalist, independent ethnomusicologist, founder of Tresno Records and of the late Lil Pitch Records. His major interests are in Indonesian traditional music, free jazz/improvisation and drone music: this has brought him to Indonesia (where he has studied karawitan with the likes of Rahayu Supanggah and Aloysius Suwardi), Morocco, New York and British Columbia in recent years.
Over past year, Ldgu has performed and studied with the likes of Alvin Curran, Meredith Monk and Senyawa.
His live performance is totally improvised, using instruments he has learned while living abroad, such as the sapek of the Kenyah tribes of Borneo or the flute of the Master Musicians of Joujouka.

Neurotica Exotica
Neurotica Exotica is the monicker of Luigi Monteanni, part of BABAU and co-founder of Artetetra records. With an interest in digital folklore and post-geographic imageries, which he calls fifth-world music, Neurotica Exotica likes to conjure a wunderkammer of digital exotica and post-world sounds.
